Since last Monday, Nice Côte d’Azur has undertaken the redevelopment of the narrow streets of Cros-de-Cagnes. This beautified area will enhance the neighborhood made up of alleys and old fishermen’s houses.
Christian Estrosi has a strong desire to improve the environment and quality of life of the inhabitants of the municipalities located in the Nice Côte d’Azur area. Since 2008, Nice Côte d’Azur has been pursuing a sustained policy of investment in the fields of water, sanitation, waste collection, roads, and transportation.
This beautification work in the cities is approached in three main areas. The undergrounding of overhead networks such as ERDF, Telecom, and public lighting.
Additionally, the refurbishment of all underground networks (sewage, stormwater, drinking water, optical fiber). This includes enhancing the roads with the installation of natural limestone and urban furniture. The work will be carried out in successive phases of 3 months each, thus limiting disruptions.
During construction, roads under work will be closed to vehicle traffic, but pedestrian access will be maintained. The duration is estimated at 8 months. Of course, work will be suspended during the Christmas holidays and the summer season.
Nice Côte d’Azur has been following the trend of many cities in recent years that wish to change their living environment. This applies to both security and beauty of spaces as well as ecological aspects.
