Following the article published in Nice Premium regarding Patrick Allemand’s press release about the signage of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, we receive a right of reply from Anne Boquet, DGS of the Metropolis.
“Road management is one of the major responsibilities transferred to the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis as of January 1st last year. Since that date, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis is the first and only intermunicipal entity in France to have roads that are no longer municipal or departmental but metropolitan.”
“A new signage system and a new color for posts are thus associated with this new category of roads. I would like to specify that the color of the posts, like all signage, has been approved by the Interministerial Delegate for Road Safety, who has decided to make this model that of all future metropolises in France.”
“It is unacceptable that political positions could create doubt about the compliance with regulatory procedures by the Metropolis services.”
