For the third consecutive year, the Grand Prix Lyonnaise des Eaux, organized by the French Triathlon Federation with the support of the Côte d’Azur League and the Nice Triathlon Club, stops in Nice during the Nice Côte d’Azur triathlon. 1500 participants, record shattered! The bar of 1500 registrants for the Nice Triathlon has been reached. Last year’s record has already been shattered (there were 700)!
The best triathletes from around the world who are members of French clubs will be gathered, including 2 Elite world champions, the Spaniard Javier GOMEZ (silver medalist at the Olympics) and the Briton Non STANFORD. Among them, the French Laurent VIDAL and David HAUSS (4th and 5th at the London 2012 Olympics) will be strong contenders.
The elite races will bring together 16 men’s first division clubs (80-85 participants) and 13 women’s first division clubs (65-70 participants).
This major end-of-season event will honor high-level triathletes but also the amateurs and enthusiasts of this sport who will come to tackle the sequence of the three disciplines (swimming, cycling, and running).
