Approximately 300 people were present this Sunday afternoon to support Palestinian freedom. The organizers of the demonstration were questioned.
As a reminder, the administrative court of Nice had rejected this Friday the request to suspend the prefect’s decree prohibiting the call to gather at Place Masséna this Sunday. A decree issued by the prefecture of Alpes-Maritimes following the adoption of the “Emergency Attack” vigipirate plan coupled with the Youcef Atal affair.
Despite this ban, the gathering still took place. The demonstrators met at Place Masséna with the aim of holding a silent march. They were quickly surrounded by law enforcement.
It was then that some malicious slogans against the mayor of Nice were proclaimed by certain individuals, as evidenced by images published by our colleagues at France Bleu Azur.
The prefecture immediately responded by announcing that they would refer the matter to the Prosecutor’s Office.
