“Tomorrow will be breathtaking!” proclaims the poster. Indeed, the fair is breathtaking, astonishing, and exciting.
This year, the Nice fair is offering us a trip to the future, towards these new technologies including Robbix, the humanoid robot that seems straight out of Star Wars.
Have you always dreamed of flying a fighter jet? It’s possible, and now you find yourself at the controls, with the joystick, the rudders, the virtual horizon line. You dive, turn, climb, and pilot this aircraft. Then Robbix accompanies you and talks to you. Video games, computers, screens flatter than ever, a fairyland of colors, images, special effects, and now you are in the world of virtual reality. The fair is also the art of arranging your home, beautifying it, and giving it a flair, personality, warmth.
If you love art, you’ll find works by artists like Kristian or François Germain, who exhibits his money vacuum desk. Nearly ten kilos of coins and bills from around the world, demonetized, flow from a cornucopia and spread out at the foot of this desk with futuristic lines.
The fair is also about food, good wines, and stalls offering you delicious meals with quality products: you can choose the classic with the fair’s pop-up restaurant or stalls from various regions offering sauerkraut or other specialties. The fair is also about travel and discovering another world. Jura is there to invite you to visit Franche-Comté. Games and activities are available for all ages.
There is no age limit for going to the fair, other than keeping your desire to discover. Street vendors enliven the aisles of the exhibition palace and from the robot vacuum cleaner, the automatic warming tray, the smart iron, or yet that clever gadget that will quickly become indispensable, they offer you this moment of happiness, a true commedia dell’arte show with the patter for which they have an inexhaustible repertoire.
The Nice fair is a three-dimensional catalog, you’ll find everything there: “If you don’t find what you’re looking for, it doesn’t exist!” Between the exhibition halls and Acropolis, the Nice fair showcases the future: “Tomorrow will be breathtaking!” Tomorrow for us Niçois: these are the Francophonie games that will take place in Nice this autumn. That’s another reason to visit this fair.
The stands of the Metropole, the department, and the region explain to you the major projects and achievements of tomorrow. A fair thus resolutely turned towards the future.
