Latest News

For the year 2013, the Nice Fair promises to be mind-blowing and looks to the future. From March 9th to 18th at the Acropolis Exhibition Hall, you will find the gadgets and furnishings of tomorrow. Here are some must-sees not to miss.

In almost 70 years of existence, the Nice Fair has always demonstrated originality in its exhibitions. 2013 is no exception to the rule. After focusing on vintage the previous year, it now highlights the objects of tomorrow. From a humanoid robot to kitchen utensils and a simulator developed by the air force, the fair is sure to offer you quite an adventure.

It will be divided into three sites covering 28,000 m2: the Exhibition Hall, which hosts gastronomy, gadgets, and furnishings; the Outdoor Space with spas, garden arrangements, and many outdoor objects; and the Acropolis Salon, which will become the internationally recognized building salon.

### The Jaguar Simulator

Developed by the air force, this simulator allows you to fly over the city of Nice as if you were the pilot. Starting at age 12, you can enjoy a takeoff from the airport and land in the direction of Mont Boron. The simulator tour will last 8 minutes.

### Robbix

Created by Zigzag Production, this humanoid robot could well become the servant companion for the new generations. But before you take it home to your living room, the Nice Fair offers you the chance to discover it exclusively. Needless to say, this friendly robot is far from tongue-tied and is able to speak French, English, and Italian.

### The North Mezzanine

Surely an area not to miss. This 300 m2 mezzanine will be dedicated to an initiatory journey highlighting the creations of tomorrow. Décor, photos, technology, and science, all staged in “mind-bending!” layouts. And every day, various shows will be showcased on the mezzanine’s podium, including acrobats from the “Fusion of Wings” company, magic tricks, and a fashion show with rather timeless creations.

### Jura in the Spotlight

This year, the Nice Fair is meeting Jura. It’s an opportunity for this department to develop its tourism sector. Representatives such as Christophe Perny, President of the Jura General Council, and Rémy Laurent, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will be present. It’s also an occasion to organize numerous games, quizzes, and contests throughout the fair with many prizes to win. It will also be possible to discover products from Jura: wines, sausages, cheeses…
