White as far as the eye can see. This is the phrase that best summarizes the latest “white night” organized on the Beau Rivage beach in Nice.
More than 1200 people united through the music of six DJs, accompanied by a parade led by the most beautiful girls of the French Riviera, go-go dancers, and Chippendales. The atmosphere was electric that night on the Nice beach, which took on the looks of Ibiza.
Until 3 am, this usually calm seaside spot managed to gather revelers from Cannes to San Remo and even many tourists eager to discover a different side of Nice that people would like to see more often.
The recipe for success included free entry, substantial resources, chic and glamorous decoration, and effective communication, which saw crowds jostling to get in.
A daring and successful bet to invigorate Nice.

Interview with Laurent Merengone, co-organizer of the White Palace
Nice Premium: Laurent, how did this second white night go?
Laurent Merengone: Wonderfully well! An unprecedented success, with even more people and happy party-goers enjoying a night out on a beach in their city!
We proved with this beautiful evening that Nice really has the potential to compete with St Tropez, Ibiza, or Barcelona in terms of festivities… we just need the means to succeed and, most importantly, support from the locals… which we had!
I am proud to have participated in organizing this event and especially proud that Nice is no longer a sleeping beauty!
Nice Premium: How many guests attended the party and what were the responses?
Laurent Merengone: 1200 on-site… and just as many on the promenade watching the spectacle of this magical evening!
Nice Premium: Are there other white nights or festive events planned in the coming weeks?
Laurent Merengone: No other white night for this year… another one is already scheduled for 2009, with many more surprises!
For the continuation of the festivities, on August 14th and 15th, the duo Lisalex, composed of Nice’s own Alexandre Balduzzi and Lisa Pastor, will take the stage. Two young and beautiful singers who will ignite the Beau Rivage beach once again.
