On April 26th and 27th, the Nice International Half Marathon celebrates its 23rd edition. New this year: the event will take place over two consecutive days instead of just one.
On Saturday, the event will take on a more popular tone by highlighting the commitment to the fight against breast cancer with the Niçoise and Haribo Family Run events. Children will be celebrated during the Haribo Kid’s Run.
On Sunday, the event will focus on the two distances that make the race famous: the 10 km and the 21.1 km, both of which will start simultaneously at precisely 9:30 am.
LA NIÇOISE: NEW DATE, NEW START TIME, NEW CONCEPT
The Niçoise, the 100% female event is changing its concept this year and is launching a new challenge for participants: run on Saturday at nightfall with a start at 8:30 pm at Place Masséna.
For the first time in Nice, run 5 km in the heart of the Coulée Verte! Furthermore, the event will once again collect funds for the second consecutive year in support of the fight against breast cancer in favor of the League Against Cancer.
HARIBO, NEW PARTNER FOR THIS 23rd EDITION
This year, Haribo joins the official partners of the Nice International Half Marathon by lending its name to two events: the Haribo Family Run and the Haribo Kid’s Run.
The Haribo Family Run, a 2 km event for everyone, will allow each participant to symbolically support the fight against breast cancer through their participation. Haribo, the official partner of this event, will reward everyone’s efforts by distributing candy bags to all.
The traditional children’s event, the 2 km P’tits Champions, is changing its schedule and name, becoming the Haribo Kid’s Run. Free registration is open to children aged 10 to 16. Candy bags will be given to all, and Haribo prizes will be awarded to the winners. Start: 7:30 pm at Place Masséna in Nice.
THE 10 KM AND 21.1 KM EVENTS
However, there are no changes for the event’s two main distances: 21.1 km and 10 km, both of which will take place on Sunday, April 27th at 9:30 am.
