The Eagles of Nice did not falter against the Boxers of Bordeaux on Saturday night at Jean Bouin. A 4-1 victory that consolidates their second place in the standings, just two points behind the leader, Mulhouse.

The Nice hockey players took their revenge on Saturday night against the Bordelais (in the first leg, Bordeaux won 4-3, editor’s note). They won 4-1 in front of nearly 800 spectators who came to support them.
A Nice first period
From the start of the match, the Eagles were very offensive: the Bordeaux net shook as early as the 4th minute, following a shot by Nathan Bernier. Opportunities followed, and it was ultimately Jan Babic who scored the second Nice goal of this first period.
The Bordelais go on the attack
This second period saw the awakening of the Bordelais. Jimmy Lundberg defended his goal well with multiple saves. Max Tromeur finally found the back of the net. However, the Nice retained the advantage at the end of the second period, 2-1.
The Nice make the difference
The Boxers could not find a breach in the defense of the Eagles. On their side, the Nice persisted and scored twice: Lukas Cvejn and Jan Tomaska beat the goalkeeper, Mickaël Gasnier, within two minutes of each other.
The Eagles consolidated their 2nd place in the standings, two points behind Mulhouse.
