The schedule includes dance workshops, rap, breakdancing and Hip-Hop workshops, graffiti artist performances, battles, DJ and turntable initiation sessions, fashion workshops, and concerts.
The New York group Sugar Hill Gang will perform at the Théâtre de verdure on Monday, April 30th at 9 PM. They will be preceded, starting at 6 PM, by demonstrations from students who participated in the festival workshops, a concert by Indigene Crew, and a performance by DJ Dee Nasty.
The free events of this fortnight will take place at various locations around the city: Forum Nice Nord, Agora, CAL Bon Voyage, Espace Django Reinhardt, Théâtre Lino Ventura, the CALs at Las Planas, La Madeleine, Les Moulins, the CSLs at Gorbella and Notre-Dame, and the St Charles local sports ground…
Some of the planned events from April 14th to April 22nd include a breakdance battle at the Louis Nucéra gymnasium on April 14th and the screening of Doug Pray’s film Scratch on April 16th at the Agora, hip-hop concerts at CAL Bon Voyage on April 18th, a writing and recording workshop at CAL Les Moulins from April 16th to 20th, and hip-hop dance and graffiti workshops, as well as DJ and turntable initiation sessions from April 16th to 20th at CAL Las Planas.
