In the presence of municipal elected officials, Dominique Douard, President of the National Horticultural Society of France, and Janic Gourlet, President of the “Roses” section of the National Horticultural Society of France, the award ceremony took place at the CUM.

Created in 2005 by the National Horticultural Society of France, this prestigious prize has already tested 381 varieties of rose bushes. The new varieties are tested at seven sites with different soils and climates and are scored by local juries over two or three years, depending on the varieties. Each year, a national jury awards a Grand Prize and category prizes based on the scores from the seven local juries.

For over 180 years, the National Horticultural Society of France (SNHF) has brought together gardening enthusiasts who love nature and respect the environment. Its aim is to promote culture and skills in gardening and horticulture, enhance the art of gardens, work for the protection of plant heritage, and foster the maintenance of biodiversity.
