With over 30,000 participants, the 6th edition of “Les Timbrés de l’orthographe” confirms its status as a must-attend event for the French language!
“Les Timbrés de l’orthographe”: A global competition!
Committed to initiatives that promote and defend the language, La Poste renews its active support for the event.
More than 1,000 classes also registered this year with the support of the Ministry of National Education.
For this 6th edition, loyal contest participants will find alongside Frédérick Gersal, the philosopher and essayist Luc Ferry, who has agreed to take up the torch once carried by Lorànt Deutsch, Daniel Picouly, Tatiana de Rosnay, Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt, and Philippe Delerm.
On this occasion, the philosopher has prepared an unpublished text full of numerous traps and challenges for the finalists, entitled: Innovation and Tradition.
For the Côte d’Azur, more than 700 candidates completed their selection tests! Over 300 faced off yesterday afternoon at the Saint-Jean d’Angely University Pole.
It should be noted that the regional finals will bring together the 10,000 best candidates in 23 cities across mainland and overseas territories: Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Montpellier, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Limoges, Nantes, Rennes, Brest, Rouen, Amiens, Orléans, Lille, Strasbourg, Dijon, Ajaccio, Schoelcher, Basse-Terre, Cayenne, and Sainte-Clothilde of Reunion Island.
Thanks to the support of the Fondation Alliance Française, more than 100 cities are participating in these finals, which will take place simultaneously at the Alliances Françaises in over 50 countries!
