Nice hosts the 3rd international meeting for the improvement of maritime governance in the Mediterranean.

On Monday, April 27, and Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at the Mediterranean University Center (CUM) in Nice, and on Wednesday, April 29 at the Grand Château de Valrose, experts from the IUCN Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation (Malaga) and the Regional Activity Centre for Specially Protected Areas of the Mediterranean Action Plan will discuss the preservation of fish resources in international and deep-sea zones.

Christian Estrosi, as President of the “EUROMED” cities network, will open this expert meeting, which aims to identify new perspectives for ensuring the conservation and sustainable use of the high seas in the Mediterranean.

It is noteworthy that the future Institute for Sustainable Development, which will work on innovative strategies and the enhancement of the memory of all Mediterranean expertise, will be established in Nice.
