In his dual role as Mayor of Nice and President of the Metropolis, as well as President of the Euromed Cities Network, Christian Estrosi, at the head of a delegation, is visiting Sousse today and tomorrow. Sousse is a sister city of the azure capital, to pay tribute to the victims of the attack on June 26th.
Agreements will be established during contacts with his counterpart Mohamed Mokni to define the conditions for aid.
“Beforehand, in Tunis, I will meet with Béji Caid Essebsi, President of the Tunisian Republic, to discuss issues related to the Euro-Mediterranean and the necessity of developing strong economic cooperation and a cultural project between our territories in order to support the development of North African countries, which constitute important potential markets for our businesses,” announced the mayor of Nice.
Meetings are also planned with François Gouyette, Ambassador of France in Tunisia, Habib Essid, Head of Government of the Tunisian Republic, and Seifallah Lasram, Mayor of Tunis.
