This friendly event is an opportunity to promote the initiative and dynamism of the residents and associative operators in the various neighborhoods of the City Contract. Its aim is to encourage and highlight the actions and achievements of those who invest in their neighborhood throughout the year.
For this edition, and in order to foster a meeting between the people of Nice and associative actors, the day has been organized across four activity sites.
Citizen Olympics
Charles Ehrmann Stadium – from 10 am to 6 pm
Young athletes are invited to a unique location to participate in “Citizen Olympics.” The goal is to promote a message of respect through sport and to bring together teams of young people (aged 11 to 16) from different neighborhoods.
Urban Culture
Gymnasium of Louis Nucéra College – from 1 pm to 6 pm
During large hip-hop “battles” (a dance form inspired by breakdancing), groups from different neighborhoods will meet in a festive spirit.
This battle is organized by the Agora Nice Est association.
Association Village
Music kiosk and Albert 1st Garden – from 10 am to 5 pm
Actions carried out throughout the year by neighborhood associations will be presented to the public. Workshops, exhibitions, cultural and sports activities, humanitarian actions… so many initiatives that the public can discover on the Neighborhood Day.
Culture and Citizenship Center
French-style garden and Promenade des Anglais – from 9 am to 11 am
Schoolchildren from Nice’s neighborhoods will participate in several fun activities.
– Nissart en place (activities for elementary school children)
The La Semeuse association offers various animation workshops around the culture of Nice: History of Nice, making of pissaladière and socca, choir, pilou game, and “Marianne workshop.”
– Race of Respect (in front of the Théâtre de Verdure)
Young schoolchildren will participate in a Race of Respect, with a symbolic baton passing, organized by Solidarsport.
