On the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, 2012, the Gorbella Leisure Activity Center and the Acte 3 company are organizing the 4th edition of Femmes en Scènes, under the patronage of Elizabeth Vidal, “Soprano-Coloratura” singer, founder, artistic director, and professor at the Mediterranean Center for Lyric Art.
From March 8 to 18, female artists from Nice and the region will take over the space at Tour Gorbella to present live performances (music, theater, dance, readings…), photography and painting exhibitions. Around these events, there will be exchanges: readings, performances, sports activities, conferences, and debates…
“Organizing this festival is not just about giving a voice to women… they have already taken it! It’s about providing a space to bring together, mix, ‘mixter’ talents, energies, artistic practices, and paying tribute to all women!” said Françoise Nahon, President of the Acte 3 company.
A large portion of the proceeds from the performances will be donated to an organization recognized for its efforts in favor of women: Art as a vector of solidarity.
