Intended for people aged 65 and over who wish to test and train their cognitive functions, these workshops aim to contribute to the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease and even slow down the progression of an early-stage disease.

Research conducted in recent years indeed shows that nutrition, physical exercise, memory function training, and social activities play an important role in maintaining good memory capacity.

The launch of these workshops coincides with World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21.

These workshops will be divided into two sessions: the first from September 17 to December 10, 2009, and the second from January to April 2010. The 40 registered candidates from Nice will be divided into four groups of 10, with 2 groups per session.

Under the guidance of psychologists, the workshops will be held every Thursday over 12 weeks as follows:

– From 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Maison des Seniors – 6 avenue Félix Faure, Nice

– From 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Espace Niçois d’Education à la Santé – 3 rue Guigonis- Nice
