This Saturday, 150 countries will join forces to raise awareness about the damage caused by incivility on the occasion of the ten-year anniversary of the “Let’s Do It” movement. Born in Estonia, it had mobilized 4% of the population, and 10,000 tons of waste were collected.

Following this success, “World Clean Up Day” was created with the goal of “cleaning up the planet in one day.” The organizers’ objective this year is to gather 5% of the French population.

Illegal dumping represents between 20 and 25 kilograms per inhabitant per year.

In order to reverse the trend by raising awareness about sorting and cleanliness, the association Everyday.earth, with the support of the City of Nice, is organizing a Nice “World Clean Up Day.”

All volunteers can lend a hand to the agents of the Collection and Cleanliness Departments and to many local actors who will be picking up waste in the streets from 9 AM to 5 PM. It is possible to join the movement along the way.

Three routes are proposed:

9:20 AM โ€“ 11:00 AM: departure from Promenade du Paillon towards Avenue Jean Mรฉdecin and Avenue Thiers.
12:20 PM โ€“ 2:00 PM: departure from Promenade du Paillon, touring the Port district.
2:00 PM โ€“ 5:00 PM: departure from Boulevard Stalingrad to the beaches of the Rรฉserve and Coco Beach.
