In recent weeks, the number of Covid cases has skyrocketed, and the city of Nice is far from being spared.

As of December 16, the incidence rate in the Alpes-Maritimes reached 883, a figure well above the national average where the incidence rate is 530. As a reminder, the incidence rate corresponds to the number of new Covid cases per 100,000 inhabitants over the past seven days.

In the Alpes-Maritimes department, people between 20 and 50 years old are the most affected, with an incidence rate ranging from 1000 to 1400 depending on the age group. The elderly, on the other hand, are relatively unaffected.

As a reminder, to try to cope with this resurgence, Jean Castex spoke last week and announced new measures.
