Not by the number of members, but by the record. Nice Judo stands out as the top club from the provinces in a ranking of 150 clubs, but fifth after SGS, FLAM 91, LEVALLOIS, RSC Champigny, all based in the Ile de France. However, Nice Judo is ranked as the top French club in terms of junior achievements.
As last season, Sainte-Geneviรจve takes the top spot in our ranking. Flam 91 replaces Champigny in second place, and thus two clubs from Essonne dominate the season. Levallois SC remains in third place. This year there are three clubs from the provinces in the top 10 (Nice Judo, ACS Peugeot Mulhouse, and ADJ21) compared to two last season (US Orlรฉans and ADJ21).
Since last season’s juniors are still juniors this season, the hierarchy has changed little, and the top four places are occupied by the same clubs, but in a different order.
Nice Judo takes advantage of its boys’ team victory to dethrone Sainte-Geneviรจve (3rd), while Flam 91, which was fourth last season, climbs to second place. Olympic Judo Nice (4th) drops one place. Notably, there are only two Parisian clubs in the top 10, compared to three in 2012-2013.
Once again, the “Southerners” occupy the top spots in the cadets’ ranking, dominated as last year by OM Judo, which also includes Nice Judo, ASBTP Nice, and Judo 83 Toulon. Absent from this ranking last season, Flam91 (2nd) and Sainte-Geneviรจve (8th) confirm their respective ambitions to be present both among the youth and at the highest level.
