This Friday, April 19, OGC Nice hosts FC Lorient, kicking off the 30th day of Ligue 1. After four matches without victories at the Allianz Riviera, the Gym must react in front of its supporters. All pre-match information can be found below.
The Eagles are back this weekend for a new championship match. After a week of rest, the Gym faces FC Lorient this Friday, April 19, kicking off the 30th day of Ligue 1. OGC Nice is currently on a poor run at home. The team from Nice has suffered three defeats (Monaco, Montpellier, and Nantes) and one draw (Clermont) in its last four home games. Nice’s last victory at the Allianz Riviera was on January 27 against FC Metz.
Like the Gym, Lorient’s match was postponed last week. The Merlus were set to face the league leaders, PSG. As for the standings, Lorient is in a delicate position. Currently 16th and in the relegation playoff spot, Rรฉgis le Bris’s players are on a run of four matches without a win.
An Almost Complete Squad
After several weeks of dealing with absences, Francesco Farioli has an almost complete squad. Only Valentin Rosier (rehabilitation) and Sofiane Diop (foot, season over) are unavailable. There is optimism regarding Youssouf Ndayishimiye: โHe resumed training with the team this week. He needs to regain his optimal physical condition, but he could be part of the squad,โ announced the Italian coach in a press conference.
On the Merlus side, Badredine Bouanani will not be able to participate in this match. The Algerian winger has been on loan in Brittany from the Gym since January. An agreement was made between the two clubs during negotiations. Laurent Abergel (calf) is also out.
