Businessmen Hersant and Tapie are playing ping-pong with Nice-Matin with millions of euros and banking sleights of hand. The Hersant group is once again becoming the majority shareholder with 75%.
For what purpose?
To develop the newspaper, grow the group, and commit to making it a great tool for local information or, above all, a speculative operation of land sales within the framework of Nice Méridia?
In all these maneuvers, there seems to be no intention to invest in a local daily newspaper. The possibility of mortgaging the headquarters of Nice-Matin is not reassuring news for the development of the newspaper and the retention of staff.
For now, the employees remain in unbearable uncertainty and a very uncertain future for months and months. Under no circumstances should the employees of this group be the adjustment variables in the arrangements between the big tycoons of finance who, in their dealings, do not respect the citizens’ right to information in our department.
