During today’s session, the Nice City Council will elect its representatives for the Metropolitan Council based on the highest average proportional representation. There will be 64 representatives from Nice who will sit on the Council.
The results will be as follows: 1 out of 2 seats for the “Communists and Republicans” group, 8 out of 9 for the “Changer d’ère” group, and 55 for the municipal majority.
Here is the appeal from Patrick Allemand: “The voting system provided by law allows us to submit a joint list. If that were the case, we would obtain 10 out of 11 seats, and the municipal majority one less, meaning 54 instead of 55. This would allow the communist representatives to obtain a second seat.
I propose in the name of unity, in the name of our shared determination to make 2012 and 2014 the years of change, to create this joint list and thus send a message of hope and unity to our voters at the end of the year.”
Will he be heard? The answer will come from the polls today… and live on Nice.fr from 8 AM!
