Nice-Mont Ventoux Cycling Challenge: Start!

Latest News

The 4th edition of the Nice-Mont Ventoux Bike Challenge set off yesterday morning from the Promenade des Anglais. It was an opportunity for the various participants to test themselves on this hilly route of nearly 400 kilometers, all while working for a noble cause.

The meeting was set for 8:00 AM sharp at Le Galet beach. 20 business leaders gathered for the start of the charitable sporting event of the Nice-Mont Ventoux Bike Challenge.

After the final explanations from the organizer, Jean-Baptiste Wiroth (WTS – The Coaching Company), the challengers hit the road towards Mont Ventoux, the finish line of the Challenge.

The 400 kilometers of the route are to be completed in three stages (one stage per day), plus an additional stage (optional) that includes the ascent of the mythical Mont Ventoux via Bedoin. Needless to say, a certain level of physical fitness is required for the cyclists involved.

The Nice-Mont Ventoux Bike Challenge, whose main objectives are to raise awareness of the importance of regular physical activity while promoting the creation of privileged professional contacts, also has a charitable goal. Indeed, the association Le Point Rose, which works for children in pediatric palliative care, is a partner of the excursion. 1 euro will be donated to the association for each kilometer covered by the peloton, thanks to the initiative of WTS, the event organizer.

In addition to the pride of having conquered 400 kilometers of asphalt and tamed Mont Ventoux, participants can take satisfaction in having sweated for a noble cause.
