Then, parodying Fernandel, there were impressions of Sarkozy, Estrosi. The candidate then tackled the record of the outgoing mayor, his choices, and foreign preference: Nice and the people of Nice abandoned! Then followed a satirical attack on other lists, “Frogs wanting to swell as big as an ox!” Finally, the candidate explained the main themes of her program: A new breath for Nice!

Then it was the turn of Jean Marie Le Pen, who was applauded by an electrified audience. The far-right leader became poetic and even referred to a poem by Charles d’Orlรฉans for the birth of spring: The time has forgotten its coatโ€ฆ

Also mentioning Martin Luther King, he appropriated the famous โ€œI have a dream,โ€ but a dream for France, โ€œA dream of its revival. It is urgent to reverse the mechanism of decline. The electoral deadlines are numerous, and each time it must be a stage of our revival. The situation in France is dire, on paper all is lost.โ€

But one must have Faith, Jean Marie Le Pen explains: โ€œFrance has always known spectacular recoveries.โ€ Quoting Saint John the Evangelist: โ€œThe truth will set us free.โ€ The honorary president of the FN provides figures on the demographic surge of the third world, the declining birthrate in Europe. โ€œThe consequences are dramatic: immigration, insecurity, poverty, debt, and unemployment. France has 2,000 billion in debt. By looking at our navel, we fail to see the iceberg, and it’s the Titanic.โ€

Jean Marie Le Pen concluded with an appeal, that of bringing the truth for the survival of the French people: โ€œOur campaign is the strength of common sense.โ€
