Nice Première asked the opinions of many locals from Nice, some of the luckier ones will be at the Stade de France and others in front of a TV or at Place Masséna watching the broadcast on a giant screen.
We will continue to publish reactions, but if you want to respond to these questions, you are welcome on the forum of this article.
Just a note for the meticulous, the interviews are published in the order they are received.
MARC CONCAS
Lawyer and General Counselor
Nice Première: A few days before the final, how do you feel about this Nice-Nancy match?
Marc Concas: The Gym should logically prevail.
Several elements confirm this:
– Our ranking (10th) and that of Nancy (14th)
– Our better goal difference (Nice has the best defense with 29 goals conceded)
– The results of the last matchday and our victory over Rennes while at the same time, Nancy conceded 6 goals at Vélodrome…
NP: Will you be at the Stade de France, and if not, where will you watch the match?
MC: I’ve broken my leg since April 3rd due to a motorcycle accident, but I will go to the Stade de France, even with crutches.
I don’t want to miss this!
NP: What is your prediction for this final?
MC: I think the victory will be quite clear.
A goal in the first quarter of an hour (Baky Koné) and the second at the end of the first half.
The third goal will come in the second half and we will manage the result until the final whistle.
3-0, go Gym and let us take the European Cup!
MARC ALUNI PIERELLI
NRJ Reporter
Nice Première: A few days before the final, how do you feel about this Nice-Nancy match?
Marc Aluni Pierelli: For me, OGC Nice starts with a slight advantage at kickoff. The Gym is on an upward phase while Nancy has been struggling a bit more to dominate and score goals recently. Advantage to the Nicois in agility and technique. Nonetheless, it remains a final, so anything is possible as it was unfortunately in 1978. The Aiglons of 2006 must avenge those of 78.
NP: Will you be present at the Stade de France, and if not, where will you watch the match?
MAP: I will be at the Stade de France Saturday night in the curve reserved for Nissart supporters.
NP: What is your prediction for this final?
MAP: Nancy 0 Nice 2 with goals from Traoré and Vahirua. I’m crossing my fingers. Issa Nissa!

RUDY SALLES
Deputy of the Alpes-Maritimes
Nice Première: A few days before the final, how do you feel about this Nice-Nancy match?
Rudy Salles: Before Nice-Nancy there was Nice-Rennes. I was at the Ray, the atmosphere was incredible. Nice opened the score at the beginning of the match and closed it in the last seconds of the game. The team is very motivated. This result as well as the result of Nice Nancy at the Ray a few weeks ago were very important to boost morale and galvanize everyone.
We are all confident, pumped up! This cup should logically come back to the Gym. And we, the people of Nice, must create the atmosphere around the players to carry them to victory. Until then, my office being at 48 Avenue Jean Médecin, I raised the “red and black” flag opposite the Notre Dame church. It’s a tribute to our club and it’s also an incentive to show our support for OGC Nice. The avenue being always in our hearts, despite the constructions, a bit our Champs Elysées, it’s normal to decorate it with the colors of the Aiglons.
NP: Will you be present at the Stade de France, and if not, where will you watch the match?
RS: Of course I will be at the Stade de France. I do not want to miss this event. I bought my ticket more than a month ago. I hope that the people from Nice will invade Paris with their good spirits and that we show that we know how to party. Moreover, I invited those who could, to come and visit the National Assembly on Saturday early afternoon. I will be the guide myself. It’s time when the “red and black” scarves will replace the tricolor scarves. There are still a few places available for this visit. Those interested in this visit can make themselves known quickly at rudy.salles@wanadoo.fr.
NP: What is your prediction for this final?
It would be risky to make predictions. Only victory counts, no matter the points difference. But if you insist, I’ll say why not a 3-0 to remind the victory of the French team during the 1998 World Cup in this same Stade de France!
