After only 6 months of operation, it’s time to evaluate the progress of your daily local news portal. The results are extremely positive, surpassing all expectations since the website’s launch in early September 2005.
The website opened and was launched through a local promotional campaign that immediately attracted a significant number of subscribers, with more than 800 subscribers in one week. Today, just over a thousand subscribers receive our news via email daily.
During this first semester, the site’s SEO has greatly improved, positioning Nice-Premiere as a respected internet newspaper by Google and other search engines. To date, more than 12,000 pages are indexed on the leading internet search engine, Google.
Moreover, articles are indexed within minutes of their publication on the leading news engine in France: Google News. They remain there for one month, after which they are found on the Google search engine.
The audience of Nice Premiere is the most surprising aspect of the site’s evolution. The last four months of 2005 brought together more than 90,000 unique visitors, or an average of 22,500 per month. The beginning of 2006 shows an increase in this average, with more than 62,000 unique visitors in two and a half months, or about 25,000 per month.
There is an average daily traffic on weekdays, the days articles are published from Monday to Friday, with more than 1,000 unique visitors per day. This average is around 600-700 on weekends.
Finally, we receive many emails daily (press releases, suggestions, etc.) and numerous responses following the articles published, with to date, more than 5,000 reactions from our readers.
