Latest News

After six years of loyalty in cycling and football, Caisse d’Epargne has decided to reorient its sponsorship strategy around the Olympic world, echoing the partnership between BPCE and the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF). Thus, Caisse d’Epargne continues its sports sponsorship strategy with strong ambitions.

cnosf-caisse-epargne-art.jpg As a major player in the sports world, Caisse d’Epargne has always sponsored numerous local and national events, sharing with athletes and the general public its taste for competition and encounters. Thanks to the partnership signed with CNOSF last February, Caisse d’Epargne, along with the BPCE Group, now chooses to become THE French banking partner of the French Olympic Teams, supporting them up to the London Games in 2012. This choice fits within a group policy and realizes Ecureuil’s support for the Olympic movement and its values.

Caisse d’Epargne, Olympic Partner

From family practice to the greatest challenges, Caisse d’Epargne contributes to nurturing the passion for sports daily and in exceptional moments.

The partnership between Caisse d’Epargne and CNOSF will be highlighted by a “red thread,” a guiding principle of communication and sponsorship strategy around the support for Annecy’s bid for the 2018 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. This “red thread” appears as a visual signature in all of the group’s patronage and sponsorship activities from the end of 2010 until July 6, 2011, the date of the official announcement of the winning city. The Andros Trophy (sponsored for seven years) is the first major sporting event where Caisse d’Epargne displays its support for the French Olympic bid. An official support badge has been visible since early December on Alain Prost’s car, a four-time Formula 1 world champion. This signature will then appear on the jerseys of the 200 employees participating in the Paris Marathon.

Caisse d’Epargne today has all the experience and legitimacy to advocate alongside CNOSF, for all the values and benefits of sport. By refocusing on Olympic practices such as skiing and running, two disciplines in which it has long been engaged, Caisse d’Epargne once again shows its commitment and desire to be an essential sports world partner.

Full Speed on the 2011 Season

A historic partner of the French Ski Federation (FFS), Caisse d’Epargne expands its partnership by associating all Caisse d’Epargne branches with French skiing.
Since 1996, Caisse d’Epargne has been invested in the FFS and the French Championships, covering all categories and disciplines.

In 2011, Caisse d’Epargne is implementing a true nursery to develop the discovery of young French skiing talents: from the Ben’j Trophy (Benjamins Trophy) to the Golden Squirrel, through the French Cup for juniors, Caisse d’Epargne strengthens its position as a key player in the renewal of French skiing and its future.

For the next four seasons, it will support not only the discipline through all competitions organized by the FFS but also athletes as it has done in the past. It will also remain a partner of the Chamonix World Cup event (Kandahar), the Family Ski Championships… so many events that will highlight its loyalty in snow sports.

Moreover, with the “Ski Challenge Caisse d’Epargne” operation, which will be organized from February in seventeen Caisse d’Epargne branches, more than 600,000 internet users will participate in a virtual race. To move from virtual to real, winners will be invited to ski with French skiing champions at the French ski championships in Super Besse. With this game, the intention of Caisse d’Epargne is to develop the image of skiing and its practice throughout the country.
