Nice Premium: So Laurent, how is the organization of this second White Night in Nice coming along?
Laurent Merengone: It’s a real task worthy of ancient Rome…the decoration, communication, and organizing such an event are quite demanding!
The beach of BEAU RIVAGE on Saturday night is going to be the high point of the party, and we don’t want to disappoint the guests!
NP: What new additions are there compared to the first edition?
LR: Even more decoration and an enhanced level of entertainment with a fashion show by designer Lara Quarto in partnership with the French Riviera Tendance association to kick off the evening, ice sculptures, dancers, a saxophonist, percussion…and many other surprises!
NP: Can you name a few of the personalities who will be present?
LR: We have some local and national political personalities as well as two film actors who should be attending…but I won’t name them today…you’ll have to come to the White Palace to find out who they are!
NP: In terms of organization, all issues seem resolved and the evening should proceed smoothly this time?
LR: Yes, there has been extensive discussion with the City Hall, Deputy Mayor for Tourism Mr. Rudy Salles, and the Mayor’s office to find solutions so that this evening can take place under the best conditions…it’s important for the city that quality and prestigious events can occur on its Bay of Angels!
NP: How did the idea to brighten the nights in Nice come about?
LR: It’s a kind of tribute to the pope of azure nights…the late Eddie Barclay!
NP: Finally, what would you say to the night owls of the Riviera to convince them to be there on Saturday?
LR: There were more than 1,500 people at the last event…many of them are still talking about the beauty of the night…so I think word of mouth has already done its job and it won’t be hard to convince them to come!
