This prestigious event brought together the most beautiful traditional sailboats, with 26 crews participating in this competition in the Bay of Angels.
A legendary race, 133 years old (the first Nice regattas were organized in 1879 and have been held every two years since).
After days of competition, the awards ceremony took place in the harbor basin of Nice with the splendid backdrop of the castle hill, which gave the event an outstanding choreography.
The speeches by Eric Ciotti, who oversees the venue as the port is owned by the General Council, Bernard Kleynhoff, the manager since the Chamber of Commerce operates it, and Jean Lassauque, president of the Azure Coast 06 Sailing Departmental Committee and organizer of these competition days, concluded the event, which was a tremendous success and was followed by thousands of locals and tourists from the shores.
Eric Ciotti took the opportunity to thank the audience and all those who “bring the port to life with their spirit” and to highlight the importance of this race that belongs to the heritage of Nice and reconnects with a prestigious nautical past.
The traditional charge with cutlasses at the buffet of local products brought the curtain down on this evening with a nostalgic atmosphere.
