As the conflict in Gaza continues to claim new victims, an initiative by Christian Estrosi, Alpes Maritimes Fraternité, the associative world, and hospital institutions have gathered, driven by a sense of responsibility, to affirm their commitment not to import the conflicts of the Middle East to Nice.
But to go even further, they agreed on the desire to demonstrate through action, on this occasion as in the past, that it is possible through exchange and in respect for each other, to help those who are suffering.
As a result of the discussions, three concrete and immediate actions were identified.
The welcoming of injured children: The CHU (University Hospital Center) and the Lenval Foundation could host injured children, in connection with the French Embassy, if their health allows for their transport.
Provision of a space at 4 Rue Jules Michel to the association “A Gesture for All,” chaired by Brahim Djebali, whose goal is to help people in need through logistical and medical support, to coordinate material aid.
The delivery of medicines and specific health materials through a health corridor established by the French Embassy.
Finally, the participants concluded that promoting living together is a necessity, and they committed to continue and encourage all initiatives to understand and share the values of “the Other.”
Nice is a true model of solidarity, peace, and fraternity.
