To address the problem of overflowing trash bins, the city of Nice has implemented a waste compacting system. These solar-powered collectors are being tested for 6 months on the Promenade des Anglais.
This initiative continues the city of Nice’s efforts to reduce the presence of waste on public roads. The city’s cleaning agents also collect litter from the beach. In 2020, 6 tons of waste were collected along the seashore.
The city is also equipped with a pollution cleanup boat and two cleaning boats that collect floating debris.
