Yannick Agnel, Camille Muffat, Clรฉment Lefert, Anna Santamans, and Charlotte Bonnet once again shone during the recent French championships that took place in Dunkerque almost a week ago.

With nine French championship titles, three French records, and two bronze medals to their name, the ONN swimmers have qualified for the London 2012 Olympics. They will thus be magnificent ambassadors of Nice sport.

โ€œThe ONN swimmers are a source of inspiration for all the actors of sports in the Cรดte d’Azur area, an additional source of motivation in my desire to make Nice a future major center for French swimming. They command respect and admiration. This gives us great hope to see them bring back the finest medals at the upcoming Olympic Games,โ€ stated Christian Estrosi.

Richard Papazian, general manager of ONN, and coach Fabrice Pellerin will be present at this reception alongside Yannick Agnel, Camille Muffat, and Clรฉment Lefert.

Charlotte Bonnet and Anna Santamans will be absent as they are currently in training.

Speaking of swimming, Christian Estrosi was frustrated in his ambition to have the FFN aquatic stadium in Nice, as part of the Eco-Valley project, which would have been a marvelous setting for the prestigious Nice swimmers and others.

Indeed, the aquatic stadium will be located near the Stade de France in the communes of Aubervilliers and Saint-Denis. It will be a site for high-level training and camps. It will be able to host national and international competitions, notably the European and world long-course swimming championships.
