Hennessy visits the port of Nice. The Borghese bar will host the Hennessy Very Special Tour from July 18 to August 9, 2025. An experience around cognac led by three talents from Nice.
The Hennessy Very Special Tour stops in Nice from July 18 to August 9. For three weeks, the Borghese bar, located at 9 rue Fodรฉrรฉ, will transform to showcase the world of the Cognac House. The event relies on the collaboration of several local professionals. Each will bring their vision and expertise to craft an experience around the Hennessy Very Special.
This event is the second major highlight of the brand’s French tour, launched in Bordeaux at the end of June. It will then continue to Lyon and Paris until November.
Three weeks, talents, one venue
The setup is meant to reflect the image of the Hennessy Ginger cocktail, a simple and balanced mix composed of cognac, ginger ale, and lime. Three ingredients. Three players for this Nice stage.
Starting with the venue. Borghese is a discreet bar, situated on the port’s edge. Known for its cozy ambiance and refined aesthetics, it becomes the backdrop for this immersion.
In charge of the bar is Maxime Potfer. The Nice-based mixologist creates four exclusive cocktails using Hennessy Very Special. His approach, both technical and creative, is designed to highlight the cognacโs aromas while playing with more modern flavors.
In the kitchen, itโs Samuel Victori who accompanies the experience. The chef is part of the group Les Agitateurs, a table that marked the gastronomic revival in the city. For this occasion, he offers three culinary pairings designed to echo the cocktails. Itโs a way to invite visitors to taste cognac differently by pairing it with contemporary dishes.
The bar is open from Tuesday to Friday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from Tuesday to Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Entry is free within the limits of available spaces.
A tour in four stages
The Hennessy Very Special Tour started in Bordeaux on June 26, 2025. After Nice, the operation will continue to Lyon, then Paris. In each city, a bar is selected to host the event for two to three weeks. Each time, the House relies on local professionals to create a new interpretation of cognac.
The goal is to introduce the Hennessy Very Special reference in an original setting, linked to local culinary and cultural scenes.
