From September 17 to 19, the three-day book event of Baie des Anges editions took place in Nice. This event was organized following the cancellation of the Book Festival due to the health situation related to Covid-19.
At the moment, numerous books are on display in the Galerie des Dominicains, located in Old Nice, and for good reason: *Les 3 jours du livre, des รditions Baie des Anges* is taking place there. 85 titles are presented here: thrillers, essays, novels, humor… Enough to satisfy reading enthusiasts. It also highlights two major poles of publishing:
– The Nice Thriller: around twenty works, including *โAlerte ร Coco Beachโ* by Jean Emelina, *โNice Mafia Songโ* by Geneviรจve Roussel, *โMorte-saison sur la Jetรฉe-Promenadeโ* by Carine Marret…
– Southern Novels: mountain novels and French/Nice works. Including *โIdรฉal Niceโ* by Stรฉphane Renaud, *โUn Sherpa dans le Mercantourโ* by Malou Ravella, *โFables de Mon Refugeโ* by Maurice Ricci…
These three days were also an initiative to promote the works whose release was scheduled for the Nice Book Festival. For example, *โMais de quoi elle se mรชle ?โ* by Lilas Spak.
Amidst the books, an exhibition *โPromenade Momentsโ* by Pia Parolin was set up. It is a series of photographs representing different people and moments on the promenade. *โWe worked with this artist on two photo books: โA Sunday Morning in Niceโ and on the promenadeโ*, explains Michel Bounous, Director of the publishing house.
Authors Present
During the three days, many authors attended the event, including Yves-Marie Lequin, Jean Emelina, Martine Schwartz… This Friday, Ernest Di Gregorio was present to talk about his works to visitors. A hiking and mountain activity enthusiast, who practices it in the Southeastern Alps as well as abroad. *โI draw inspiration from these landscapes in my novels, using them as settings where I recount historical or real eventsโ*, he explains. Among his seven books presented was his latest release: *โLes Crรชtes de la libertรฉโ*, *โa story set between the Vercors and the Mercantour, based on resistance events, in a fictionalized mannerโ*, the author summarizes.
