A true urban development project has been planned on the grounds of the former railway station of the Chemins de fer du Sud de la France to provide the neighborhood with a new living space that intelligently integrates into the existing urban landscape.
The first phase of this large-scale project has now been launched with the rehabilitation of the former Travelers’ Building. The aim of this project, which covers an area of 1,903 m², is to create a Media Library within the old station premises with:
– The exterior restoration in the style of a historical monument, respecting traditional materials and methods of implementation;
– The interior work involving the restoration of the waiting hall of the old station as closely as possible to its original state and adapting the rest of the station’s space to its new function as a Media Library.
