Latest News

This Monday, March 25, saw the first beach cleaning operation with the HappyCulture hotels in Nice.

Monday marked the beach cleaning in Nice by nine HappyCulture hotels. More than thirty people from the hotel industry participated in this cleanup. Divided into two groups, and sharing the beach between them, the volunteers equipped with gloves were tasked with raking the shore for debris (glass, plastics, cans, woodโ€ฆ). Supported by the Nice Cรดte d’Azur Metropolis, which provided all the equipment necessary to clean the beach (gloves, bags, visibility vests, litter pickersโ€ฆ).

The HappyCulture hotels represent 9 hotels in Nice, which are: The Deck Hotel, Villa Bougainville, Hรดtel Le Grimaldi, Hรดtel Excelsior, Hรดtel Nap, The Jay Hotel, Hรดtel Soโ€™Co, Villa Otero, and hostel OZZ. Altogether, in France and Europe, the HappyCulture group has around fifty establishments. They regularly implement corporate social responsibility (CSR) actions, such as eliminating plastic in hotels or waste sorting.

In Nice, by mutual agreement, the hotels organized this beach debris collection day. “We try to raise awareness among our visitors of the attachment we have to our business foundation, the sea, the beach for us hoteliers,” confides Tony Tsirepas, the operations manager of the HappyCulture group. The goal is to raise awareness among visitors, but also among hotel industry stakeholders of their environmental impact. This operation is a first for the HappyCulture hotels in Nice.
