After the French League of League of Legends last February, Nice will host the Evolution Championship Series (EVO) at the Palais des Expositions in October 2025.
Nice will host the Evolution Championship Series (EVO) on October 10, 11, and 12, 2025 at the Palais des Expositions. Founded in 1996, this international competition brings together thousands of players passionate about fighting games every year. This tournament, one of the most prestigious in the world, will be held on European soil for the first time. Games such as Street Fighter, Tekken, Grand Blue Fantasy Versus, Mortal Kombat, Guilty Gear, and Under Night In-Birth will take center stage at this competition. The last edition, held in Las Vegas, hosted over 10,000 players from 63 countries. With Nice committed to the development of e-sports, new technologies, and digital culture, it is an ideal candidate.
Nice aims to do the same, which will generate significant economic benefits. It will also reinforce that the city of Nice is a prime destination for international events. Christian Estrosi, mayor of Nice, is delighted with this news and says, “I warmly invite all fighting game competitors present at EVO to come to Nice to discover our extraordinary region. We will give them the best welcome!“
