Nice to Mont Ventoux Bike Challenge: A Very Promising Second Edition

Latest News

After the success of the first edition in 2014, the Nice Mont Ventoux Challenge is once again offered to business leaders who are cycling enthusiasts. The Nice Mont Ventoux Challenge is a cycling challenge that involves connecting Nice to Mont Ventoux in 3 (non-timed) stages with a team of 20 sporty business leaders from the Alpes-Maritimes and the rest of France.

Through this non-competitive challenge, the organizers aim to promote the “social” and “health” aspects of cycling to the business leader audience. Indeed, cycling is a sport that allows for easy conversation while riding; ideal for networking.

Furthermore, it is a sport that can be practiced with significant benefits in terms of fitness and health, regardless of age. Additionally, the idea is also to promote the practice of physical activity within businesses to decision-makers; a workshop discussion on this topic will even be organized following the second stage.

For Jean-Baptiste Wiroth, organizer of the Challenge: “In 2014, we were almost surprised by the enthusiasm generated by the first challenge. In 2015, our goal remains the same: to offer an ambitious but accessible challenge that should motivate entrepreneurs to engage in sports regularly, which is a guarantee of good health and efficiency on a professional level.

The group will set off from the Promenade des Anglais in Nice for a journey of nearly 400km through the Cรดte dโ€™Azur, the Haut-Var, and the Luberon. Paul BELMONDO is the patron of this 2nd edition and will be at the start to participate in the stage.

Many passes will be climbed, such as the Col de Vence during the first stage, and the famous Mont Ventoux during the 3rd and final stage.

Departure on Thursday, June 11 from Nice, Arrival on Saturday, June 13 at Ventoux,
