On Sunday, Nice will host the final stage of the Grand Prix F.F.TRI. on its Promenade des Anglais. 1500 amateur triathletes will start the event from 8:00 am, competing over an M distance (1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run), followed in the afternoon by the worldโs best triathletes who will participate in the grand finale of the 2013 Grand Prix F.F.TRI.
This final stage, contested over an S distance (750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run), promises a great spectacle as the stakes are high, the competition is fierce, and teams have summoned their best performers to clinch the French club championship title. It should be noted that the Elite and Open races will also serve as the platform for the 2013 French Individual Championships.
The Nice Cรดte dโAzur Triathlon, an event for all enthusiasts of linked disciplines, will highlight female participation and more broadly the role of women in sports.
On this occasion, the “Female Athletes” exhibition will be featured at the heart of the triathlon village, and a roundtable discussion on the theme “Diversity as a Development Lever” will be held on Saturday, September 28, from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm at the Mediterranean University Center.
