The Nice Côte d’Azur Triathlon, the finale of the Grand Prix Triathlon for cancer research, celebrated its 5th anniversary this year.
The 2015 season of the Grand Prix Triathlon concluded spectacularly for Poissy Triathlon in the Women’s category and EC Sartrouville in the Men’s category, clinching their 5th and 7th consecutive titles respectively, as French club champions in Triathlon.
Emmie Charayron, European champion in 2011, was aiming for this title to complete her record. At 25, the EC Sartrouville member triumphed in 1h00’27” ahead of Poissy athletes Léonie Périault (World U23 vice-champion) and Cassandre Beaugrand, who was crowned last year in Nice.
At 25, Pierre le Corre repeated his feat of 2014 and secured his second consecutive individual title in 54’27”. The second Frenchman this year in the world series (10th in the WTS ranking), the Montpellier native edged out the world number 3, Vincent Luis (Ste Geneviève), and the young Poissy athlete Tom Richard.
