The match ended with a neck-and-neck finish between the two teams. After two very fast-paced periods, both teams showcased excellent gameplay and, in the end, a valuable victory for Nice Volleyball with a score of three sets to two.
The first set was already highly competitive. After many mistakes from the Tours team, the Eaglets won the first round swiftly with a score of 25-18.
For the second period, the scenario was quite different. The dynamics changed, and the Tours club took the lead right at the beginning of the set, leaving Nice six points behind. There were far fewer mistakes and very intense rallies. However, the Eaglets could not find the path to success and conceded the set 19-25.
In the third period, the teams were more motivated than ever. Nice Volleyball and Tours Volleyball Club delivered a great spectacle. Mistakes became rare, and exchanges grew longer and more intense. The Eaglets gave their all in hopes of winning this set. It was point for one team, then point for the other, and Nice eventually conceded the set 22-25.
The fourth set began. Nice scored the first point, but the scenario seemed similar to the third round. NVB quickly managed to take control of the score, despite Tours not backing down. Service errors were frequent for the opponents, and some very fine plays followed on the Nice side. The Eaglets leveled to 2 sets to 2 by winning this set 25-22.
The fifth set started at full throttle. The score remained tight, as in the two previous sets. Both teams offered excellent play. NVB managed to catch up with Tours, who had slightly pulled ahead. With the score at 14-14 for both teams, a two-point margin was needed to break the tie. The Eaglets scored without any pressure and won this thrilling match 16-14.
