The Eagles were defeated 3 sets to two against TVB on the sidelines of the 12th day of the Marmara SpikeLigue.
Currently 12th in the championship, Nice is experiencing a rather challenging season, but one filled with good intentions. The team is coming off a loss against Narbonne (3-1) and was hoping to bounce back at home tonight.
A bit higher up, we find Tours in the mid-table with a 7th place. Although the squad coached by Marcelo Fronckowiak alternates between good and less good performances, they seem equipped to challenge any lineup.
So Close to the Goal
The battle was tough this Saturday night. Jolted from the start by the Azuréens, the Tourangeaux had to refocus to secure a fifth consecutive victory against Nice. After 4 tightly contested sets, everything was decided in the fifth and final set, right down to the wire there as well. Few service errors, impressive triple blocks, and effective attacks for the Eagles. However, it was not enough to overcome Tours. (25-21 | 17-25 | 25-21 | 22-25 | 13-15).
