The NVB secured a 3-2 victory against Saint-Jean d’Illac. An important match between these two teams at the bottom of the rankings. The match was played away for our team from Nice in this 10th round of the championship.

Nice, 13th in the rankings, took on Saint-Jean d’Illac, 12th with equal points. The match promised to be intense between these two teams at the bottom of the table. A victory for Nice allows them to climb up the rankings and hope for a spot in the play-offs. A victory would also allow them to bounce back after last Saturday’s defeat against Plessis-Robinson at home.

A Tight Match

The match was really contested. It started with the first set won by ASI Volleyball 25-21. Our eagles fought hard and managed to snatch the second set 26-24, with Simon Hirsch notably having an exceptional night. Teamwork allowed them to win the third set 25-23. The score remained very tight between these two teams. This tight score would be repeated in the fourth set, which went to ASI 25-23. The match eventually tilted in favor of Nice, who clinched victory with a score of 15-12. The MVP of the match was undoubtedly Simon Hirsch, who delivered a stellar performance tonight.

It was a match filled with suspense that provided entertainment for the supporters. To recap, the scores between Nice and Saint-Jean d’Illac were: 21-25, 26-24, 25-23, 23-25, 15-12.

The next match will be against Narbonne. Currently at the bottom of the general rankings, it should be a match well within reach for Nice Volleyball. It will be played away on Saturday, December 9 at 7:30 PM.
