Nice Volley Ball: Stunning Home Victory Before the Final

Latest News

25th matchday of Ligue A, the Eagles of NVB hosted the Spacer’s of Toulouse Volleyball in their lair.

After three consecutive defeats, Nice Volleyball found victory in their lair this Saturday, March 18th. The Eagles (13th) hosted the Spacer’s of Toulouse, 11th in Ligue A, with the ambition of regaining confidence and victory before their historic French Cup final.

Mission accomplished for Rafael Redwitz and his men, who managed to overturn a match that started poorly for them. Indeed, it was the Toulouse team that started the match better by winning the first set 23-25. The Nice squad responded immediately by winning the second set in a tie-break (27-25) before being defeated again in the third (18-25). One set away from defeat, the Eagles turned the match around by winning the 4th set decisively (25-15) and then the 5th set with a two-point lead (16-14). It was Nice’s Cuk Gojko who was named MVP of the match.

A crucial victory to keep the hope of European qualification alive, but also to approach the final in Paris against Tours on April 2 with confidence.
