Family evening in the heart of Nice volleyball: the 2015-2016 season is on the horizon and the players of President Alain Griguer and coach Mladen Kasic participated in the traditional official photo shoot.
For the occasion, the new president of the Volleyball Federation, Nice native Eric Tanguy, honored them with his presence.
After losing twice consecutively in the promotion final, Nice has turned the page and changed its team. No fewer than 8 new players will give a new face to the team. Coach Kasic faces a challenging task to swiftly blend all these new players together.
And of course, Jérôme CLERE, Florian BECLIN, Nemanja CUBRILO, Mirko RADEVIC, Jelle RIBENS, Niklas SEPPANEM, Alexis GRAS, and Yousri ANEGAY will need to get to know each other under the leadership of new captain Raphael Corre.
This group seems to be working well together and playing well, with interesting preparatory friendly matches against some teams competing in League A.
Reduced to 8 teams for administrative reasons, the LNB championship will take place with a new structure: 14 rounds with home and away matches, followed by 7 rounds where the higher-ranked team will host the matches.
After 21 rounds (instead of the 26 in past seasons), quarters and semis will be played as best of three matches, followed by the final.
In fact, the first 21 rounds will be exclusively useful for determining the standings for the final phase.
