The city of Nice invites all residents to participate in the Commerce Forums via an online questionnaire. An opinion survey designed to provide an assessment of the current state of local commerce.
You might be one of the 24,000 residents of Nice who have been randomly selected to participate in the Commerce Forums. To find out, simply check your email inbox on the evening of May 15. A questionnaire will be sent by the municipality. The entire population of Nice was chosen to ensure that three types of neighborhoods are represented: those with a large range of local commerce, those with an average range, and those with a smaller range.
This consultation is launched by the mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi, his first deputy Anthony Borré, as well as Franck Martin, deputy for the Hauts de Nice Territory, Commerce, Markets, Craftsmanship, and the Gare du Sud. It is part of a context “of multiple transformations that Nice’s merchants have to face.”
What are your purchasing habits?
The principle: gather the opinions of as many residents of Nice as possible, according to their specific neighborhood, based on an array of criteria related to the shops they frequent. The municipality wishes to know your purchasing habits. The questionnaire allows for collecting your opinions on security, product quality, accessibility for people with reduced mobility, parking, and even street lighting around Nice’s shops.
The objective is then to process the collected data to establish a general report on the current state of local commerce. This common diagnosis will help identify “the strengths and areas for improvement to address current and future economic and societal challenges.” Thus, this assessment will enable the implementation of solutions tailored to the issues raised by the residents of Nice.
