It was in Lignano (Italy) this Friday, on the occasion of the European Master Games 2011, that the city of Nice was chosen by the IMGA (International Master Games Association) to host the 2015 edition. A major sporting event, the Master Games bring together so-called “veteran” athletes from thousands of miles around the world. The 2009 edition in Sydney was a resounding success.

Reaction from Christian ESTROSI: “I wanted to express, through this very beautiful project, my desire to associate this event with all the policies developed by our city towards seniors. That is why I tasked Jean-Michel GALY to carry this candidacy within a delegation that traveled to Lignano.”
