On the occasion of World Health Day, the CCAS of Nice is organizing a day of health information and prevention for everyone. The objective of this day is to:
Improve access to health care for disadvantaged groups;
Support people who are often disconnected from health care services, despite being at increased risk of violence, chronic diseases, and certain communicable diseases such as tuberculosis and HIV, towards receiving care;
Promote prevention, health promotion, and education.
General practitioners, psychiatrists, dermatologists, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and interpreters will be available and attentive to the public during this day.
The program:
Sensitization and prevention actions on different themes:
· Nutrition: including a healthy breakfast,
· Health: hepatitis, HIV, cancer, vaccination, …
· Addictions: tobacco, alcohol, …
Health assessments and consultations by a general practitioner, psychiatrist, and dermatologist.
Offers for blood tests or chest X-rays at the Saint-Roch Hospital Screening Center (transport provided by the French Mutuality’s daytime Samu Social).
Information and assistance in gaining rights (State Medical Aid, …).
Implementation of an evaluation of the action.
First aid training.
