Christian Estrosi, the mayor of Nice, unveiled the #NiceShopping project yesterday morning in the presence of local officials and representatives of numerous commercial and artisan players in the city.
Nice is, in terms of international notoriety, the second city in France, after the capital of course.
The project #NiceShopping will be developed soon with the aim of capitalizing on this notoriety, but also on the pool of consumers (locals and tourists) of the city and the region.
The main goal is to establish a link between local shops, which contribute to the city’s charm and appeal, and larger brands (Carrefour, Ikea, Nice Etoile…). The city hall wants to “create a true complementarity and establish synergy” between these actors who form the foundation of Azur’s commerce.
#NiceShopping will also allow the region’s influence to expand, through communication and promotion of what the Nice area has to offer commercially.
Indeed, if the French Riviera continues to develop, it is not only thanks to its weather and advantageous landscapes, but also due to the economic boost provided by tourism and commerce.
